Social activists of the movement “Veterans of Russia” told the TV channel RTthat they filed an appeal with the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Investigative Committee demanding that comedian Ruslan Bely be brought to justice for discrediting the Russian military and for “calls for extremism on the people”.
Social activists noted that Bely, at one of his last concerts, stated that he did not support a special military operation, half of his relatives live in Ukraine, and Kiev would not be the first to attack Russia.
On March 16, politician Yevgeny Roizman (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), formerly mayor of Yekaterinburg, arrested police officers in case of publication of extremist symbols. According to law enforcement officials, he posted a video of FBK (the organization was included in the list of foreign agents by the Ministry of Justice and banned in Russia) on VKontakte. At the same time, his wife and lawyer claim that he never used this social network. He has also been placed under house arrest in recent months and banned from using the internet.
