BAFTA winner and Oscar nominee Barry Keoghan will star in the sequel to Ridley Scott’s Gladiator. In this respect informs Variation.

The original Gladiator was released in 2000 and was nominated for Academy Awards in 12 categories. As a result, the picture claimed five figures, including the award for best picture, and collected $ 460 million at the box office. The main role, General Maximus, was played by Russell Crowe, whose main enemy was Joaquin Phoenix. Mescal will play Maximus’ son, while Keoghan will play Emperor Publius Septimius Geta.
The movie is expected to be released in November 2024.
