Dmitry Dyachenko’s Cheburashka, the highest-grossing film in Russian history, will be screened in Premier online cinema on March 16, the streaming media service reported.
More than 22 million viewers watched the movie on the big screen. According to the plot, an unknown big-eared animal finds himself in a warm seaside town with oranges, where he befriends a secret gardener, Gennady.
The main roles in the film were played by Sergey Garmash, Polina Maksimova, Olga Kuzmina.
The film “Cheburashka” collected more than 6 billion rubles in Russian film distribution, doubling the box office of James Cameron’s “Avatar” in the Russian Federation, which has been the leader for 13 years.
The film was produced by the START online cinema, Sarı, Siyah Beyaz studio, with the support of the Cinema Fund, with the participation of Russia 1 TV channel Soyuzmultfilm.
