“The Russian Art Gallery, whose building is currently being built according to the Wolf Prix project in Sevastopol, presents a large inter-museum project in Moscow every year as part of the traditional days of the Crimean Spring,” the report says. “This year, declared the year of the teacher and mentor, the gallery decided to present the works of Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin and one of his most talented students – Maria Lomakina of Crimea.”
The works of Petrov-Vodkin and Lomakina were presented for exhibition by the Hermitage, Tretyakov Gallery, Russian Museum, Pskov Museum-Reserve, Maximilian Voloshin Home-Museum, Kroshitsky Sevastopol Art Museum, Simferopol Art Museum. others.
The organization of the exhibition is dedicated to the anniversary of the meeting between Petrov-Vodkin and Lomakina, which took place in 1923 in Petrograd. The first part of the exhibition will feature portraits, landscapes and sketches, while the second part will feature the Crimean works of Petrov-Vodkin and Lomakina. The organizers invite the audience to compare the views of the artists about the life and nature of the peninsula.
