Oleg Tabakov’s Moscow Theater has begun a major overhaul. This was announced by the mayor of the Russian capital, Sergei Sobyanin, on the Telegram channel.
Sobyanin said that after the renovation, the theater will become more technologically advanced. It will include modern stage lighting, sound, stage mechanization, technological television and video projection. Sound insulation will also be improved.
According to Sobyanin, a complete renovation of the facility is planned, while maintaining intimacy. There will be 119 seats in the auditorium. It will also allow you to create various stage effects by making special openings and doors in the walls.
“The center of the composition of the renovated theater will be a cast-iron staircase, from which you can descend from the foyer to the auditorium. Next to it will be a fantasy-style panel of Aleksandr Rukavishnikov’s workshop,” Sobyanin said.
Previously actress Anna Chipovskaya announced that she was leaving the Tabakov Theater.
