On International Women’s Day 2022, 542,000 tickets were sold for a total of RUB 184.2 million. In total, this year’s fees exceeded the 2022 result by 67.7%.
Three Russian films that day became leaders at the box office: “The Traveler” (86.2 million rubles), “Unscrupulous in the Village” (46.9 million rubles), “Nuremberg” (32.9 million rubles).
At the same time, the result of 2022 remains the lowest indicator of the last ten years for 8 March. The most successful for Russian film distribution were International Women’s Days 2017 and 2019. In 2017, record attendance (1.569 million tickets sold) was set on March 8, and the holiday record in 2019 in terms of box office receipts was 425.5 million rubles.
