Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s tale “The Little Prince” has been translated into Hebrew in Israel. In the updated edition of the hero, it was decided to make a girl in the name of gender equality, and the name of the story was changed to “Little Princess”. It has been reported TASS.

The material says it was decided to remake the classic version due to new trends as part of a special project of a network of bookstores. Thus, “The Little Princess” will be the first book in a series of children’s publications in which famous literary works will be presented with the struggle for sexual equality in mind: male protagonists will turn into female characters.

“Only 31% of the main characters in children’s books are women. <...> Promoting gender equality in children’s literature <...> decided to launch this project,” said the publisher.
