Thus, “The Little Princess” will be the first book in a series of children’s publications in which famous literary works will be presented with the struggle for sexual equality in mind: male protagonists will turn into female characters.
“Only 31% of the main characters in children’s books are women. <...> Promoting gender equality in children’s literature <...> decided to launch this project,” said the publisher.
