According to Variety’s report, Arctic Monkeys and Guns N’ Roses are on the headlines of the 2023 Glastonbury Music Festival.
The legendary British festival will take place from 21-25 June. Earlier, the organizers introduced another lead actor of the show, Elton John.
For the renowned British artist and Commander of the Order of the British Empire, the performance at Glastonbury will be the final show of his farewell world tour.
Due to the all-male and white cast of the festival’s leading actors, there has been an online discussion about gender inequality in the selection of artists by the organizers.
Emily Eavis, one of Glastonbury’s organizers, responded to these accusations.
“We are doing our best and obviously aiming for a 50:50 gender ratio. Some years are more, some years are less… There was a woman in the lead role this year and unfortunately she had to leave. Everything is constantly changing,” she said.
