Streaming service Netflix orders production of thriller ‘Day Zero’ (“Day Zero”), starring Robert De Niro. This will be the 79-year-old actor’s first television appearance, writes Variety.
The show will be directed and produced by Leslie Linka Glatter, who worked on Mad Men and Homeland. One of the creators of Day Zero is Narcos showrunner Eric Newman.
According to the official registration line, Day Zero, “the question on everyone’s mind is how do we find the truth in a world that is in crisis and seems to be torn apart by forces seemingly beyond our control? In an age of conspiracy theories and lies, how much of these forces are the result of our actions, perhaps even our imaginations?”
Previously Killers of the Flower Moon, starring Martin Scorsese and De Niro, may premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
