The soundtrack of the mystical TV series “Territory 2” has been released online, according to the Premier streaming platform. Music available on VKontakte.
In total, the album included 17 songs that were created specifically for the series. The composer and performer of the soundtracks was Evgeny Masloboev (creative pseudonym Jerzy Lutosławski), the author of the musical performances. Based on the study of geography, ethnicity and preserved cultural monuments, the composer tried to recreate the melodies that could be played here. “I was in the same position as the ancient Greek researchers who were trying to recreate the music of that era based on the drawings, the patterns on the ceramics, and who found the pieces of musical instruments,” Masloboev said.
In his work, the composer used ambient sounds, home-made musical instruments and musical instruments of the Komi peoples and their similars: fidl (folk violin), shaman tambourines and bear sticks, pu – drum, sigudok – string lute, large buksan – birch bark horn, etc. She recorded the sounds of one of the compositions on Lake Baikal. There I went alone into the valley, which could only be visited by prior agreement with the shamans. Allegedly, a dark lord lives in this place, who can punish the traveler if he does not perform protective rites. I recorded the sounds of this valley, and although I did not meet the dark lord, the music turned out to be very mysterious, ”she admitted.
He also added that in one of the compositions you can hear the processed recording of the sounds of circular saws, and in the other – playing with a bow on a metal Soviet hanger. “For one of the scenes, I even had to go to extremes – I was suspended in midair at a construction site, holding it with one hand and the other playing the fixture,” added the composer.
