Martin Scorsese’s western thriller Killers of the Flower Moon may premiere at the 76th Cannes International Film Festival, which will be held on the Cote d’Azur from 16-27 May 2023. Variety writes about it, citing its sources.

According to the broadcasters, the producer booked a room in one of the luxury hotels on the Croisette for the duration of the show. At the same time, Variety states that the Cannes program will only be announced in April and there may be changes in the lineup until then. In particular, the Venice Film Festival (30 August – 9 September 2023) also claims the status of a venue for the premiere of “Killers of the Flower Moon”. So far, no formal agreements have been made with the organizers of the Cannes Show.

The plot of “The Killers” will focus on the FBI investigating murders in a Native American settlement where an oil field is discovered that enriches the local population. The tape’s cast included Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Brendan Fraser, John Lithgow, and musician Jack White. For DiCaprio, the painting was the sixth collaboration with Scorsese and the tenth for De Niro.

Previously HBO has announced that the new season of House of the Dragon will not air before the summer of 2024.
