Artist Nikas Safronov expressed his dissatisfaction with the layout of the Inna Churikova monument, performed by sculptor Alexander Rozhnikov. In a comment on the site mk.ru The artist stated that he did not like the idea of depicting an artist sitting on a globe.
“This, of course, is a strange idea,” said Safronov. “People will not understand what the sculptor wanted to say by putting Inna Mikhailovna on the ball. But then you need to write a description on the monument. Otherwise, Churikov will be associated with Baron Munchausen.”
The artist also noted the anthropomorphic disproportion of the sculpture: the head was too big for him, and the shoulders were small and pulled out.
“For my aesthetic taste, the monument should be more elegant for a brilliant artist like Churikova,” the artist said.
The portal published a layout image from Rozhnikov’s personal archive. “Moscow region today”.
