There was a time when hers seemed like a joke, but the truth is that Taburete is already on her fifth album and, according to her, is filling the spaces where old prejudices have been shattered. “People are looking for a lot of excuses to talk about our success, but after all, there is nothing but songs that are very popular and concerts where everyone has a good time”, Antón Carreño, the guitarist-singer of the band Madrid, who has just released ‘Matadero 5’, discusses this.

An album that was released digitally in November and is currently released in physical format via an eccentric circuit, 60 butchers, delicatessen and poultry shops from all over Spain to “support local trade”. The stool, which is pulled from head to toe for a style of music between Kaçmak and tarambana, is a place where “even songs performed in sad moments are composed in a way that doesn’t seem so sad”.
