Family of 67-year-old Die Hard star Bruce Willis knowledgeablethe actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, the disease is progressing.
“Since Bruce was diagnosed in the spring of 2022, his condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD). Unfortunately, communication problems are just one of the symptoms of the illness Bruce is facing. “It’s a relief to finally get a clear diagnosis,” he said.
This disease greatly affects the character, behavior and speech of a person. In people under 60, FTD is the most common form of dementia.
“There is no cure for this disease today, and we hope this reality may change in the coming years,” said Willis’ ex-wife Demi Moore, his current wife, Emma Heming, and their five daughters.
“Bruce has always found joy in life and has helped everyone he knows have the opportunity to do the same,” the actor’s family wrote.
Willis left the cinema in March last year – after which doctors diagnosed him with aphasia (an acquired speech disorder that can occur after a brain injury. – socialbites.ca). Willis’ initial diagnosis indicated that he would have difficulty speaking, writing, and understanding language, both orally and in writing. The actor continued to appear in public despite his condition.
