Saying goodbye to director Abdrashitov in Moscow

A farewell ceremony for director Vadim Abdrashitov was held on February 16 at the House of Cinematographers in Moscow. It has been reported DEA News.

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a wreath to the farewell ceremony. The President’s special envoy for intercultural cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy, VGIK rector Vladimir Malyshev, director Andrei Smirnov, director Karen Shakhnazarov, writer Alla Gerber, relatives, friends and colleagues of the deceased came to say goodbye.

People’s Artist of Russia Vadim Abdrashitov died at the age of 78 on February 12 after battling cancer. He shot films such as “Uşak”, “Train Stopped”, “A Game for a Passenger”, “Time for a Dancer”, “Fox Hunt”.

Before Putin brought Our condolences to Abdrashitov’s family and friends. Putin described the cinematographer as an outstanding director and teacher.
