British synthpop band Depeche Mode have released the first single from their 15th studio album “Memento Mori”, scheduled for release on March 24. The composition was called “Ghosts Again”, a video was also released for it.

The song is Depeche Mode’s first album since the death of keyboardist Andy Fletcher, who died of aortic dissection in May 2022. The musician was 60 years old. According to the remaining two members of the band, Dave Gahan and Martin Gore, “Ghosts Again” strikes “the perfect balance between melancholy and cheerfulness.”

Work on Memento Mori began before Fletcher’s death, but he didn’t have time to record any material for it, as Gahan explained late last year: “He’s never heard of it. [альбома]and I’m so sorry because [нем] There are songs that I know will say, “This is the best we’ve had in years.” I can hear your voice directly. Also, “Should every song be about death?”

Previously It has been reported that the popularity of the song Depeche Mode increased by 220% after the release of The Last of Us.
