“Peripheral Devices” from the writers of “Westworld” has been renewed for the second season

Amazon Prime Video has announced that its sci-fi series Peripherals has been renewed for a second season. Reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Based on William Gibson’s novel of the same name, the series is produced by Westworld creators Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan. Vincenzo Natali, the director of the horror movie “Cube,” is also working on it.

In the near future, VR actress Chloe Grace Moretz is testing a virtual reality headset, but soon realizes that reality isn’t so virtual after all.

In the spring of 2019, Joy and Nolan signed a nine-figure contract with Amazon. The first project published under this agreement was Peripherals, which premiered in October 2022. The duo is also developing a streaming adaptation of the Fallout game franchise.

Previously Hugh Laurie will reportedly star in the third season of the spy thriller Tehran.
