On the Yasnaya Polyana award website, the acceptance of applications began on 7 February. In this respect informs The head of the jury of the award is “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”, which refers to Vladimir Tolstoy, the cultural adviser to the President of Russia.

Application is due until March 20, 2023, applications are being accepted from publishers, major literary journals, author associations and past winners. Tolstoy recalled that in 2022 Yasnaya Polyana celebrated its twentieth anniversary. “We have summarized the interim results of a great and successful work, and by constantly going further, we have opened a new stage in the life of one of the most prestigious literary prizes in Russia,” said Tolstoy.

In addition, in the new season, the award will be given not only in the “Event” category of the year, but also in the “Personality” category. “And finally, a very fresh idea is to find and mark works that were written a long time ago, but unfairly passed the attention of critics, “Lost Masterpieces,” he said, and the main task of the prize is to make literary texts available to readers, regardless of when they were written.
