The first film to be released was “Fight for the Fatherland”, shot by Sergei Bondarchuk for the 30th anniversary of the Victory. To achieve maximum realism, the director instructed the tank crew to shoot from blanks in the direction of Tikhonov, who played the role of Streltsov. That’s why Bondarchuk wanted to achieve the effect of a real nervous shake. The footage turned out to be as close to reality as possible, but the actress almost lost her hearing.
This was followed by the multi-part painting “Seventeen Moments of Spring”, after which Tikhonov was waiting for tremendous success and recognition. The actor wanted to add humanity and romance to the character of his hero, which was missing in the scout images in other films. The most touching scene – the quiet meeting of Stirlitz with his wife – was invented by Tikhonov himself, who recalled the story of a scout acquaintance about a meeting with his wife.
The channel will also show the movie “Kill the Dragon” by Mark Zakharov, in which Tikhonov plays the role of the clever archivist Charlemagne, Elsa’s father.
