Lyubov Borisova’s Russian film “Bury Me Without Ivan” received the special jury award at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) film festival held in India. It has been reported DEA News.
The festival was held in Mumbai from 27-31 January in honor of India’s SCO presidency. A total of 57 films from SCO countries were screened there.
In the competition program, 14 films were screened, mainly Yevgeny Grigoriev’s Russian production “Bury Me Without Ivan” and “Partners in Crime”.
The best movie of the show was the Indian movie “Godavari” directed by Nikhil Mahajan. Best Director: Rao Xiaozhi from China for Homecoming. Askar Ilyasov from Kazakhstan won the Best Actor award for the movie Paralympics, and Rano Chodiyeva from Uzbekistan won the Best Actress award for the movie Destiny of a Woman.
Also, Kyrgyz directors Bakyt Mukul and Dastan Japar’s film “Road to Heaven” received a special jury “for a message of hope and warning about the danger of losing cultural values in turbulent times”. Tajik film “Fortune” directed by Mukhiddin Muzaffar – a special appraisal with the words “for a wonderful cast that immerses the audience in a sense of the value of true friendship”.
Picture “Bury me without Ivan” appeared On the Russian lease on January 26. The film tells about Ivan Popov, the founder of the fine arts of Yakutia, and his friend Stepan Beresekov, who falls asleep.
