Netflix showed a dance to LCD Soundsystem song from comedy “White Noise” at PM

Streaming service Netflix has uploaded a clip from Noah Baumbach’s comedy White Noise to the song “New Body Rhumba”, which electroclash band LCD Soundsystem recorded specially for the movie, with a surreal dance in a supermarket. The video is available on the YouTube channel of the online cinema.

The basis of the tape was the satirical novel of the same name by Don DeLillo. Set in the 1980s, White Noise revolves around the family of a professor (and Adolf Hitler expert) whose city was shaken by chemical waste due to a railroad accident. Directed by Baumbach, the film stars Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig.

“New Body Rhumba” was LCD Soundsystem’s first new composition in five years and was released as a single on September 30.

Baumbach’s film premiered in August 2022 at the 79th Venice Film Festival. On November 25, “White Noise” was released in the United States as a limited release, and on December 30. present on Netflix.
