Artists at Blue Sky Studios, which Disney closed last year due to the pandemic, released a farewell video featuring Scrat the squirrel from Ice Age. Video posted on video hosting YouTube.
A video titled “The End” was aired on the Finale channel and aired on the 20th anniversary of the release of the first movie in the series. In it, Scrat finally reaches for the acorn and fulfills his long-held desire.
The statement states that it was created by Blue Sky Studios employees “as a farewell on their own terms” before the studio closed.
The video’s description states, “In the last days of Blue Sky Studios, a small group of artists got together to make one last video – goodbye, farewell to our terms”.
It was previously known that Disney Corporation. announced It’s about the closure of the Blue Sky animation studio, which created “Ice Age” and “Rio”. Due to the pandemic, the company lost $2.86 billion, so maintaining Blue Sky has become unprofitable.
