Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter denied rumors that he allegedly raped an underage fan, Shannon Ruth, in 2001. Portal reports Page Six.
“This allegation regarding an alleged incident that occurred more than 20 years ago is not only legally baseless, but also completely untrue,” said Michael Holtz, the singer’s lawyer.
The girl added that she was infected with the human papilloma virus as a result of rape.
The attorney stressed that Ruth had been “manipulated for several years to make false accusations” against Carter. Descriptions have not yet been made.
