The Novosibirsk Drama Theater “Red Torch” will stage the play “House, Goodbye” based on the stories of the writer Alexander Tsypkin. By TASS Tsypkin himself will play one of the main roles in the production, referring to the press service of the theater. He will play the role of the author.
The script includes Tsypkin’s stories “Tragic Misunderstanding”, “Faust”, “Cheshire Cat”, “Capsule of Truth”, “People of Opinion”, “Love for Two Kopecks”, “Scratch” and “Russian Ecstasy”. The performance was planned to use the technique of “breaking down the fourth wall”, a technique involving interaction with the audience. The “fourth wall” in the theater is an imaginary wall between the actors and the auditorium.
The performance was led by Alexander Sozonov, who graduated from Kirill Serebrennikov’s course at the Moscow Art Theater School. For him, this production will be his debut on the Red Torch stage.
The premiere of the play “Home, Goodbye” will be held on February 25 and 26, 2023.
