One of the long operas that is often acted out. From Puccini, the most popular of the early 20th century and the last composer of the Italian “bel canto”. “Tosca” (1900) is set in Rome, where Napoleon defeated Austria at the battle of Marengo on June 14, 1800. The libretto by G. Giacosa and L. Illica is based on V. Sardou’s work of the same name and showcases their work. love story, somewhat melodramatic bombshell, political content and connotations of totalitarian terror. These intentions are not suppressed by the passage of time. The drama, marked by fate and a melancholy disposition, accepts different theatrical possibilities. We are talking about a traditional but careful production directed by Maria Biesu, directed by Aglaia Mudrea of the Moldovan National Opera, who intervened in this show with the theatrical instinct of G. Puccini. The melodic explorations serve to better define the setting, and the continuity of the musical discourse builds on the emotions received by Ukrainian soprano, tragic heroine Olga Perrier, and Argentine tenor Ignacio Guzmán. They champion liberal ideas and form a duo with depth and related voices. Musicality, dramatic power and talent shine through. They condemn him. The brutal police chief offers Tosca a deal: if Tosca gives herself lovingly to him, Tosca will simulate the death of the painter. They kill him and they discover him. Among others, the Argentine baritone Fernando Álvarez has a solid image and a famous vocal power. Spaniard Armando del Hoyo’s low and very solid track record stands out alongside other Spaniards who contribute to promoting the passages and highlighting the goals of the stage and score. The orchestra’s strong direction belongs to Valencian José Escandell. A large number of fans applauded the choir and the entire Leonor Gago Artist Management company based in Barcelona. A more contemporary character is needed for the genre to live better and attract young people.
