American actor Jake Gyllenhaal seems to have forgotten that 18 years ago, his colleague Dennis Quaid played his father in Roland Emmerich’s disaster film The Day After Tomorrow. This was known when the artists gave a partner. interview Yahoo Entertainment portal.

The interview coincided with the release of the Strange World cartoon, in which Quaid and Gyllenhaal voice the main characters, a father and son belonging to the legendary explorers Kleyde dynasty.

One of the journalists began to question Quaid with the words: “You and Jake, of course, played father and son in The Day After Tomorrow …” Hearing this, Gyllenhaal interrupted their conversation: “Really? Ah… Ah! O! Wow! That’s the guy playing my dad!” At the time, Quaid noted that this was “the first time they’ve been together in the same room,” adding, “It’s me. Wow that’s great! You know, we already gave a lot of interviews and you blew my mind,” Gyllenhaal told the journalist.

As Variety explains, both actors played in The Day After Tomorrow, though for most of the movie their characters were in different places. During the dubbing of Weird World, Quaid and Gyllenhaal recorded their voices at different times. At the same time, IndieWire does not rule out that Gyllenhaal has therefore decided to play games with journalists and fans.

Previously Disney’s new cartoon, “Weird World,” has been reported to be the studio’s worst project, breaking records.
