The directors of the newest Avengers, Anthony and Joe Russo, will be filming a miniseries for Amazon Prime Video about the collapse of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange, which declared bankruptcy on November 11.

The publication writes – citing a person familiar with the project – that negotiations are underway with the Russo brothers to act as the project’s directors and executive producers. The script for the pilot episode was entrusted to David Weil, known for his work on the TV series “Hunters” and “Invasion”.

According to Variety sources, the show will be based on insider data from several journalists covering the activities of FTX and the company’s former chairman, Sam Bankman-Freed. However, it has not yet been announced what materials the series will be based on. In addition, the interlocutors of the broadcast stated that the negotiations are continuing for the participation of several actors from the Marvel films with which Russos had previously collaborated with the project.

Prior to that, plans were also reported by Apple and Netflix to film the story of the collapse of FTX.

On November 11, the FTX cryptocurrency exchange declared bankruptcy after a high-profile corruption scandal and the plunge in the value of its own FTT token.
