Placebo – “Happy Birthday in the Sky”
After nine years of silence, Placebo is back with their new album Never Let Me Go. Around this time, drummer Steve Forrest left the band and Brian Molko, by his own admission, became close to Stefan Olsdal. As for the sound, it has become more concise than ever, with Placebo occasionally reverting to an electronic sound.
“It’s hard to come out of the shadows,” Molko said in an interview with Le Parisien. “Maybe it’s cunning, but Stefan and I are shy people. The isolation during the pandemic made us feel protected, we loved it. I had a lot of time to think about the future, to imagine worst-case scenarios.”
Zivert and “Three Days of Rain” – “Breathe”
The “leaked” joint track of Zivert and rock band “Three Days of Rain” has finally been officially released. “We didn’t plan this. Release was supposed to be in a month <…>. It would seem that it should be, apparently people need music now, ”the singer wrote on her blog. The song was written for lovers who meet after a year of separation and realize that their feelings are protected.
Asia – “Cross”
Singer Anastasia Alentyeva (aka Asiya) released the song “Crosses”. Known for the track “Why are you so good”, the artist’s debut album was released last year. Asya takes part in the show “Songs” on TNT.
Harry Styles – Harry’s House
Harry Styles announced the release of his third studio album “Harry’s House” on May 20 and has released a teaser for it. In a short video, a cardboard house “rises” behind the artist as he walks around the stage. Last year, Styles’ song “Watermelon Sugar” from her debut album Fine Line earned her her first Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance.
Black Midi – “Love Story”
British rockers Black Midi released an album featuring covers of King Crimson (“21st Century Schizoid Man”), Captain Beefheart (“Moonlight on Vermont”) and even Taylor Swift (“Love Story”). The title of the EP “Cavalcovers” is in line with last year’s album by the group “Cavalcade”.
Lorde – “Secrets from a Girl (She’s Seen It All)”
Lorde has released the music video for “Secrets From a Girl (Who’s Seen It All)” from her latest album Solar Power. In it, three versions of the singer simultaneously dance on the stage by the sea, already familiar from the video of the title track.
Tyler, Creator and Nigo— “Come on, Let’s Go”
Creator Tyler has released a humorous piece and video where he’s been waiting for a girl while preparing for a long time. The single was included in the compilation album “I Know Nigo” by Japanese Nigo. This is the solo project of the founder of the streetwear brand Bape. The LP features Pusha-T, ASAP Rocky and Kid Cudi.
