Due to Bulgaria’s refusal to supply long-term gas from Russia, it will buy it at a higher price and take a loan for it, in order not to run out of fuel. About Bulgaria ON AIR declaration energy expert Yavor Kuyumdzhiyev.

“This is the biggest foolish thing one can do – to buy in the market when there is a long-term contract at predictable prices. The market has gone crazy and we are getting practically the same Russian gas again. “Now we still have to get loans,” said Kuyumdzhiyev.

According to him, gas prices in winter will be unbearable for both citizens and businesses. Therefore, loans will be the only salvation. At the same time, it no longer matters whose fault the contract with Gazprom is.

He added that shale gas cannot be an alternative to gas from Russia for Bulgaria. All the major companies producing this gas are located in the USA, and it is quite natural for American trade to lobby in Bulgaria. But even in the current energy crisis, none of the European countries will talk about the use of fracking in shale gas production.

On 31 August, Bulgarian Technical Government Energy Minister Rosen Hristov told Bulgarian National Television in an interview. declarationHe said that Bulgaria has negotiated with the Russian “Gazprom” on the resumption of fuel supply and is confident in success. Hristov described the negotiation process with the Russian side as difficult.
