Underground gas tanks (UGS) in France are already 88% full, which is one of the best indicators among other European Union (EU) countries. BFMTV on the air about it stated Emmanuel Vargon, Chairman of the French Energy Regulatory Committee (CRE).
“The welcome is just over 88% today. This is better than our European neighbors. Our goal is to fill the gas storage facilities 100% by winter,” he said.
According to him, France can reach 100% and there is absolute confidence in this.
He added that every possible effort is being made to ensure that the winter in France passes without rising gas prices. But to save money, large businesses need to consume less electricity and dim the lights in stores.
Earlier on Wednesday, Le Figaro, referring to the Energy Regulatory Commission, said: Wrotethat in the absence of state protection, the cost of gas in France would increase by 105.1%. The publication explained that for gas consumers in France using regulated tariffs, the price will remain unchanged and will be at the 2021 level.
