Lithuania seeks closer cooperation with Sweden in the energy sector. About LRT in the air stated Victoria Cmilyte-Nielsen, President of the Baltic Republic Seimas (Parliament).
“Sweden has a strong position in nuclear energy, with significant capacities in renewable energy. We need closer integration with this country,” he said.
According to him, Lithuania can learn a lot from Sweden by embracing the necessary positive experience. We are talking specifically about renewable energy. At the same time, nothing can be done on such a matter in a week.
Lithuania will increase electricity generation sevenfold using renewable sources and will be a green energy friendly country by 2050.
