Canada announces readiness to return all repaired turbines for Nord Stream

Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly said the country is ready to return five turbines for the Nord Stream gas pipeline that are under maintenance in Montreal. Reported by this TV channel CBC.

“It was a decision we took,” said the minister, adding that this is what Germany wanted Canada to do.

Former Gazprom announced On the suspension of gas supply via Nord Stream from August 31 to September 2 for the maintenance and planned preventive maintenance of the only working Trent 60 gas compressor unit located at the Portovaya compressor station. Wolfgang Kubicki, Vice-President of the German Parliament called German authorities will launch Nord Stream 2 to save the German economy and give it time to think about ways to further diversify its energy revenues. He noted that a gas embargo against Russia would be an irresponsible decision by the country’s authorities.
