Russians sought the easiest way to get rich

Winning the lottery, inheriting and investing in securities are the easiest options for getting rich, according to Russians. This comes from a survey conducted by the Rosgosstrakh Zhizn insurance company and Otkritie Bank (available on socialbites.ca).

“Russians believe that the easiest way to get rich is to buy the lottery (23%), invest in securities (15%) and inherit (13%). Every second Russian believes the biographies of millionaires and billionaires (21% “believe” and another 31% “quite believe”). From the perspective of one in four respondents (26%), such stories are always embellished, and a single great entrepreneur would never reveal all the details of how he developed his business and made a fortune.” Head of investment insurance department at IC Rosgosstrakh Zhizn.

The expert advised citizens not to rely on easy ways to get rich. According to Borzunov, the most reliable way to increase your financial situation is to learn to save independently, get passive income and competently use financial instruments, both banking (for example, deposits) and insurance (investment life insurance).

The study was conducted from 27 July to 10 August. 1504 people over the age of 18 from all federal districts participated in the survey. 52% of the respondents are female and 48% are male.

According to the largest lottery operator Stoloto, an average of 16.1 million Stoloto-branded state lottery tickets were won each month from January 1 to June 30, 2022. Winners earned an average of 3.37 billion rubles per month.
