Experts from the Wildberries anti-fraud team told the agency: RIA NovostiScammers began disguising Telegram bots as official marketplace brands.

According to experts, attackers began offering rewards or discounts to users under the official brand name in order to steal their personal data. For example, phishing bots invite users to “spin the wheel” to receive a discount or reward. After a person wins something, they may be asked to enter personal information to receive a gift. This may be information for logging into your personal account on the market or bank card data, where attackers can use this data for their own purposes. If a user sends information to a chatbot, they may lose access to their account or face unauthorized charges.

Trust and Security Director Wildberries Igor Somov noted that scammers become especially active during large-scale sales such as Black Friday. According to him, the company is investing in advanced technologies to protect customers, but user vigilance remains an important factor in the fight against phishing.
