“If uncertainty continues, Moldova will have to appeal to the European Commission for assistance in finding a compromise solution for a stable gas supply to the country,” the vice president said.
Cheban added that the main risks to the continuation of gas transit through Ukraine are the reluctance of the country’s government to renew the agreement and military actions. According to him, if the situation does not change, Moldova will begin to look for alternative routes for energy supply through the Trans-Balkan corridor.
