Uganda plans to establish a trading post in Russia to sell its coffee and increase its supply to the Russian market. This was reported by RIA Novosti Mbasu Wilson Mbadi, Uganda Minister of State for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives.
Answering a question about the possibility of opening a trading center in Russia for the sale of Ugandan agricultural products, Mbadi emphasized the importance of finding new markets for Ugandan coffee.
“We need to find a market. When you hear that there is a center here, it means we are looking at alternative markets, especially for our coffee. The center you must have heard about here also includes the coffee trade,” the minister explained.
According to him, the creation of the center aims to explore the interest in Ugandan products in the Russian market. Mbadi added that if the initiative is positively received, the volume of product supply will increase.
