Oil from Russia is being transferred to a small Egyptian port to circumvent sanctions, the agency reported. Bloombergpoints to ship tracking data.

We are talking about the small Alhambra port located in the Nile Delta. Tankers full of Russian Ural oil arrive at Al-Hamra, where the oil is mixed with oil of other origin.

More than 700,000 barrels of oil were delivered to Al-Hamra on July 24 alone, according to the agency. An hour later, another ship with oil left this port and gave way to this ship carrying Russian oil.

Al Hamra is a small oil loading port with six tanks that can hold up to 1.5 million barrels of crude oil. Here, Bloomberg suggests, Russian oil could be mixed with local varieties produced in the western part of Egypt.
