Prices for international destinations increased by 8% during this period. Buying a ticket from abroad in both directions today will cost an average of 62,421 rubles, compared to 58,001 rubles the previous year.
The cost of air travel to the CIS has changed the least. Last year, prices increased by only 2%, from 27,541 rubles to 28,036 rubles.
Türkiye remains the most popular overseas destination for Russian tourists for the third year in a row. However, the demand for this country is gradually decreasing. Thus, the share of passenger traffic coming to Turkey in the January-September period decreased from 40 percent last year to 28 percent. Meanwhile, Thailand and the UAE are gaining popularity among Russians.
