In Germany, it has won the first of the region’s coal-fired power plants, which were previously shut down as part of the green energy transition but remained in reserve. This was reported by the DPA agency, reports TASS.

The coal-fired power station, operated by the Czech concern EPH, is located near Hannover.

On July 14, the German government allowed coal-fired power plants to continue operating from a reserve to generate more electricity in the face of gas shortages.

Earlier, the Minister of Economy and Climate, German Vice-Chancellor Robert Habek did not rule out that the economic situation in Germany could be “worse than it was during the COVID-19 pandemic” due to changes in the energy sector.
