Russians determined the amount they consider the poverty line

According to residents of the country, a person who earns less than 43 thousand rubles a month can be considered poor in Russia. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by job search service Superjob, according to reports RBC.

Survey respondents believe that in order not to be poor in Moscow, you need to earn at least 45 thousand rubles every month. Residents of St. Petersburg set the salary at 41 thousand rubles, as an indicator of poverty, and in other regions – 42 thousand rubles.

Russians believe that to live a decent life, you need to earn an average of 250 thousand rubles a month. Residents of the capital receive this amount of 270 thousand rubles, St. Petersburg – 240 thousand rubles.

According to survey participants, those who earn more than 860 thousand rubles per month can be considered rich. In Moscow, this is 920 thousand rubles per month for men and 780 thousand rubles per month for women. In St. Petersburg, people with an income of more than 800 thousand rubles a month are considered rich.

According to Rosstat, last year the poverty level in the Russian Federation reached a historical minimum; 13.5 million people, or 9.3% of the population, were below the poverty line.

1.6 thousand representatives of the economically active population from all regions of Russia participated in the Superjob survey. The research was conducted between October 1 and October 8.
