“Geopolitical uncertainty, especially regarding oil prices, affects our economy,” Gentiloni said.
According to the European Commissioner, this may affect inflation, but no such effect has been observed so far.
He emphasized that inflation will definitely fall.
Gentiloni also commented on a possible deal between UniCredit and Commerzbank, underlining the need for strong and internationally competitive banks in the EU.
