Small and medium-sized businesses in 83 regions of Russia received more than 4 thousand microloans totaling over 10 billion rubles using the “Selection and receipt of microfinance” service on the MSP.RF digital platform. General Director of SME Corporation Alexander Isaevich talked about this.
The organization announced that this is 27% of all microloans issued by government organizations (GMFO) for the nine months of 2024.
According to Isaevich, small and medium-sized businesses have been able to apply for and receive microfinance since last autumn through a special service on the MSP.RF digital platform.
“The average size of such a loan was 2.4 million, the average loan maturity was 2.5 years, and the weighted average rate was 7.3%, which is 2-3 times lower than the bank loan interest. “The average time from the moment of application to the signing of the contract is 14 days,” he said.
At the same time, the head of the SME Corporation noted that 81% of the total volume of microloans received through the digital platform went to microenterprises, which are often representatives of SMEs that have the most difficulties in raising money from banks.
“Almost two-thirds (63%) of microloans were taken to replenish working capital, and almost a third (31%) were taken for investment purposes. “Microfinance service is the most in-demand sector among entrepreneurs in the fields of trade and services (27% and 24% of the total microcredit volume) and production (18%),” he added.
It was noted that thanks to the online service at SME.RF, the Irkutsk region has become a leader among regions in terms of microcredit volume. 218 loans totaling 647.2 million rubles were issued there. The Udmurt Republic is in second place – 204 issues worth 541.9 million rubles. Chuvashia took third place – 153 points worth 504.3 million rubles.
Let us remind you that microfinance for small and medium-sized enterprises and online access to it are implemented within the scope of the implementation of the national project “Small and Medium-sized Enterprises”.
