“The Commission believes that Musk violated a court order requiring the Commission’s written approval to reschedule the hearing,” the Commission’s request states.
Musk did not attend the commission meeting on September 10, according to the lawsuit, and his lawyers warned commissioners that the billionaire would be absent because of his need to attend a launch for his company, SpaceX. But the commission insists it gave Musk several days’ notice of the planned meeting, and the lawyers gave Musk only a few hours’ notice of his absence.
