Russians’ demand for hotel reservations in the country this October increased by 10% compared to last year. These statistics were provided by the press service of the Ostrovok service at the request of socialbites.ca.
The highest growth rates in bookings were recorded in large Russian cities popular for travel tourism: the number of bookings in accommodation facilities in Krasnodar increased by 73% annually, in Rostov-on-Don by 47%, in Vladivostok by 40%, in Zelenogradsk – by 30%, in Moscow – by 22%, in Kaliningrad – by 21%.
It was noted that Russian interest in some holiday destinations increased: demand in Anapa increased by 29% annually, in Pyatigorsk by 19% and in Sochi by 17%.
The average cost of one night booked in accommodation facilities across the country in October was 4.7 thousand rubles, which was 18% higher than last year.
Top 10 destinations in Russia by number of bookings in October:
• Moscow – the average cost of a booked night – 4.9 thousand rubles (+17% per year),
•St. St. Petersburg – 4.2 thousand rubles (+17%),
• Sochi – 4.9 thousand rubles (+20%),
• Kaliningrad – 4.1 thousand rubles (+8%),
• Kazan – 4.5 thousand rubles (+13%),
• Kislovodsk – 5.4 thousand rubles (+20%),
• Nizhny Novgorod – 5.1 thousand rubles (+16%),
• Ekaterinburg – 4.9 thousand rubles (+23%),
• Vladivostok – 5.4 thousand rubles (+17%),
• Zelenogradsk – 4.9 thousand rubles (+23%).
The cheapest accommodation in October will be in Krasnodar and Astrakhan (an average of 3 thousand rubles per night), Mineralnye Vody (3.2 thousand rubles), as well as in Makhachkala and Derbent (3.6 thousand rubles each).
