Head of FinExpertiza Elena Trubnikova noted a significant increase in nominal salaries in March 2024 by 23% compared to the same period last year, reaching 87.7 thousand rubles.
The wage gap between sectors has widened over the year, from 5.2 times in the first half of 2023 to 5.7 times in 2024, as wage growth in low-wage sectors such as clothing slows.
The high-paying sectors also included finance and insurance (190.6 thousand rubles), aviation (171.1 thousand rubles) and tobacco production (162.9 thousand rubles).
The lowest salaries were recorded in light industry, the service sector and agriculture. Clothing manufacturers received an average of 37.7 thousand rubles, catering workers – 45.5 thousand rubles, and postal and courier services workers – 47 thousand rubles.
The nominal increase in average salaries in the first half of 2024 was 19.1%, which is 2.5 times higher than average monthly inflation (7.9%). The largest growth – 48.1% – was observed in the gambling business, where the average salary reached 118.3 thousand rubles.
