Shareholders of the Rusagro agricultural holding did not approve the re-registration of the company from Cyprus to Russia. This was reported by TASSwith reference to the organization’s materials.
“The resettlement of a company from the Republic of Cyprus to the SAR of the Russian Federation has not been approved,” the statement said.
In March, the agricultural holding submitted documents to the regulator of this European country for the start of resettlement to Russky Island.
Russian Ministry of Agriculture in August filed a claim against the Cypriot shareholder of Rusagro, which is included in the list of economically important entities, with the aim of depriving a foreign representative of influence within the agricultural enterprise.
The Rusagro press service reported that a lawsuit was filed to suspend the corporate rights of Ros Agro PLC in relation to its Russian subsidiary.
In May, the judge of the Belgorod Region Arbitration Court Vitaly Kireev ordered The main owner of the Belgorod agricultural holding “Agro-Belogorye” will transfer 25% of the shares in favor of the company “Rusagro” for 2.5 thousand rubles.
