The beer listed as North Korean in Federal Accreditation Agency documents turned out to be Chinese. This was reported by “RBC Wine” with reference to a representative of the supplier company Vostokbirtreid (VBT).
It turned out that the name DPRK (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) appeared in the documents by chance. In fact, we were talking about the PRC, that is, the People’s Republic of China.
It is not yet known who made the mistake. Both parties blame each other for technical errors.
At the time of publication on the Russian Accreditation Agency’s website, the beer supply declaration dated July 19, 2024 still showed North Korea. The producer was listed as Heilongjiang Quanrun Beer Co, registered in North Korea.
News that beer from North Korea was allowed to be imported to Russia for the first time appeared Tuesday evening.
