The overwhelming majority of respondents (85%) expressed their readiness to purchase housing in houses under construction long before the completion of construction. This is evidenced by a study on the online survey platform “Cuckoo”, a copy of which is available at socialbites.ca;
One third of the respondents stated that they intend to buy a house during the construction phase, 32% at the foundation pit stage, and one in five people are ready to invest immediately after the project is announced. Only 15% of the respondents prefer to buy real estate after the construction is completed.
The most important factors for Russians when choosing housing were the location of the house (28%), cost (27%) and trust in the developer (22%). The availability of infrastructure and the quality of housing also play an important role (21% each). In the purchase process, the developer’s quality guarantees, compliance with deadlines and transparency of the transaction come to the fore.
85% of Russians stated that the decision to buy an apartment is influenced by the possibility of getting a mortgage. At the same time, 52% of respondents prefer new buildings, and 48% prefer second homes.
The survey was attended by 1.2 thousand people aged 18-55 years living in large cities of the Russian Federation and interested in the real estate market.
Before this the real estate market will collide Despite measures to prevent high mortgage rates, falling demand and falling prices. Konstantin Aprelev, Vice President of the Association of Realtors, noted that renting housing is now more profitable than buying, and buying new buildings with a mortgage is meaningless due to the predicted decline in prices.
