The Belarusian authorities have expanded the list of goods from hostile countries that are prohibited from being imported into the republic and sold on its territory. This was reported by Telegram channel Belarusian Cabinet of Ministers.
Rags, fiberglass, plywood, OSB boards, tires, high density polyethylene, paper and cardboard (including corrugated), as well as sanitary paper and products were added to the product list.
The list of goods banned for import from the Czech Republic, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia has also been expanded. The list includes washing machines, diapers and baby wipes, refrigerators and freezers, as well as wallpaper, ceramic tiles, bags and suitcases, and sanitary products.
The measures will come into force on October 15 and are a response to anti-Belarus sanctions imposed by the European Union.
