The Bank of Russia may keep its key interest rate at 18% until the end of the year. TASS – said Anatoly Aksakov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Financial Markets.

Aksakov noted that inflation currently remains high, while the pace of industrial production and other sectors of the economy is accelerating and wages are rising.

The increase in goods and supplies is slower than the increase in wages, which leads to higher prices because supply is not increasing as fast as demand,” the committee chairman explained.
